Week 6 - Planning (Week 1)

Before creating my website it is crucial to plan. Plan what I want to the website to look like, the user experience I want to create, colour schemes, fonts etc. This is the most important step of creating and building a website. The planning of my website will dictate whether or not my final outcome will be successful. 

The first step I took in the planning process was to take all existing information on the the current church website and transform it into a word file so that I can use it as a reference when completing my new one. Alongside this I decided that it was best to create a site map. 

I then began to develop a series of colour schemes. The colour schemes rotate around the principles of the logo of the church and therefore had to be included throughout the website. Here are the colour schemes I found using the website coolors:

I am not quite sure which scheme I will be using yet, however I will talk to my peers and see which one works better with my target audience. As important as colours are fonts are important also, I have located a few of the fonts that seem to fit my target audience and I am going to practice them in the setting of the website. This way I will be able to depict readability and figure out if it works or not.
